leighton denny coconutty high performance nail colour review

Leighton Denny's Coconutty was released in the brand's Summer Castaway collection. But, I'm not a fan of wearing darker colours or nudes on my nails during the warmer months, so kept this polish until now.

A deep mauvey-taupe colour, the polish may look quite bland from afar, however the golden flecks suspended in the base colour, make this polish far from the average nude. Simply stunning! I think the colour just looks so sophisticated and professional and would suit any occasion. On first coat, the formula is quite sheer, but it gets progressively darker with the addition of further layers. To achieve the effect in the pictures below, I painted on three coats. I could've stopped at two quite happily, but I wanted the polish to be slightly deeper and that little bit more opaque and perfected.

The consistency is just right, not too thick or sticky, but not so thin that it is becomes a nightmare to use. As with all the Leighton Denny nail varnishes, the formula contains no formaldehyde. The wear time is good, with only very slight chipping on the edge of a couple of nails, after around five days.

For £11 a bottle, you get 12ml of polish, which is more than other brands give you for a similar price (Nails inc., I'm looking at you). The quality is so good that I am happy to hand over my cash for it. Leighton Denny polishes are slowing climbing up my favourite nail brand list, so I'm sure you'll be seeing more posts on their products in the future.
