I hate skipping my evening skincare routine; I end up so racked with skin guilt/regret that it takes me ages to debate whether to get up and not be lazy or fall into the land of nod, that I may as well have just done it anyway. Unless I simply face-plant the bed after a chaotic, non-stop day, getting rid of all of the grimy, makeup leftovers from the day is something I really look forward to and enjoy taking my time with. But, we all have those nights when it's cold, we're tired and curling up under the covers and drifting off to our dreams is much more appealing. What's stopping us? A line-up of a dozen products that will help us to look fab, rather than drab, the next morning. How about a quick cleanse, followed by a one hit wonder, instead? The Sarah Chapman Overnight Facial is ideal!
Despite being an oil, this oil isn't too oily. Well, actually, I'm classing this as an oil, but it's more of a serum, moisturiser, oil hybrid. Confusing, I know. Somehow, it doesn't feel greasy, but has a silky consistency that's a happy medium between being too thin or thick. Sinking in within seconds, my skin drinks this stuff up and immediately thanks me for it. Straight away, my dehydrated skin is plumped and smoothed. Next morning, my complexion is glowing, fresh-looking and any dry bits are easily buffed away during my morning cleanse. Compared to other oils that I've tried, this really seems to give my skin more nourishment, more hydration and more happiness. Without handing over a fat(ter) wad of notes or even leaving the comfort of home, you get the results of a professional facial without even having to stay awake. One pump is ample to cover my entire face, but, to be honest, I always massage in a little more for good measure. Smelling of floral soap, the fragrance isn't to my taste or what I was expecting, but it isn't anything offensive or too strong. I don't feel at all wary of my skin lapping it all up, put it that way.
The only downside to this facial oil, is that the bottle holds only 15ml. Ridiculous, considering that it costs a hefty £45. Will that put me off repurchasing? I highly doubt it and at this rate, it may be the only facial oil that I actually finish off and buy a backup of. That's unheard of in my skincare supplies! The nifty packaging is sleek and handy, minus a lid or pipette to create any mess. Just one press of the integrated pump and you're set. Beautiful skin, here we come!
Do you use facial oils - which is your favourite? If not, have I tempted you to give the Sarah Chapman Overnight Facial a whirl?
