Winter 2016 Style Wish-List

When it's frosty outside, all I want to do is snuggle up and do some online shopping from the comfort of my cosy duvet. Seeing as it's been so icy recently, I've been browsing the web a lot and here's what's on my current lust-list...

One thing that's missing from my wardrobe, is a non-black, smart coat. I already have a couple of coats from All Saints, but there's always new designs on their racks that draw my attention. As soon as I spotted the Ora Coat, I fell in love. If it's anything like my others, the quality is bound to be top notch and it will last for years.

Believe it or not, despite my sheer adoration for Nars, I haven't sampled any of their famous Velvet Matte Lip Pencils. Yet. These strongly-pigmented crayons get rave reviews from every beauty buff out there, so it's about time I follow suit and give them a try. If I could buy every shade I would, but I think I'll start with Bahama, a deep, mauvey-nude.

If you know my style, then you'll know I have a slight addiction to biker jackets. So when I found this MissGuided Suedette Biker Jacket on ASOS, I had to have it. Whether layered over knitwear in winter, or worn with floaty tops as the weather warms up, this will be such a versatile piece that I'll get lots of wear out of.

As someone who suffers with ridiculously watery eyes in harsh sunlight, sunglasses are a necessity in my handbag all year round. These Komono Crafted Lulu Sunglasses in Ivory Demi have been on my radar for a while now. Just gorgeous, I think the softer frames and subtle, cat-eye shape will look so flattering.

I have a few weddings coming up in the next couple of months, but first come the hen-dos! Perfect excuse for at least one new dress, right? I've got my eye on this stunning Three Floor Mayhem Dress which is currently in the Revolve sale. I love the mix of textures, with the ruffled body, leather waistband and metallic mesh skirt. Although the plunging neckline is quite risqué, it's nothing a strip or two of tape can't handle, to protect my modesty.

Of course, to go with a new dress, it's only right to pick a bag to pair with it. My number one choice would be this lovely Warehouse Oversized Slouchy Clutch Bag. I love the mock croc print and the larger size will allow me to stuff any hen-related goodies in there!

Whilst my winter outfits usually consist of black, on neutral, on more black, I do like to inject a splash of colour here and there. The cut-out detail of this ASOS V Front Cold Shoulder Top adds a bit of excitement to an otherwise plain tee and I love the bright pop of red.

My Mum will be very happy that I'm finally thinking practically when it comes to shoes. Thanks to Khloe Kardashian, I've been totally sucked in by the Timberland trend and I'm now desperate for a pair of Ladies Timberland Boots. Not only do they look so laid-back and effortlessly cool with a pair of black jeans and a plaid shirt, but they'll actually keep my feet nice and toasty.

Talking of black jeans, I'm lusting after a pair from Citizens Of Humanity UK. The high-end brand's Carlie High Rise Skinny Jeans are made from their signature stretch denim, so they really hug the skin and fit like a glove to create a sleek silhouette. Although they're rather pricey, the high-quality denim should last for years and hold its shape much better than cheaper pairs.

What are you currently lusting after, to add to your winter wardrobe?

  5. No Winter Wardrobe for me at the moment because I live in South East Asia. But if I need to add a little something to my wardrobe, it would be the taupe coat you shared and a nude scarf that can go with almost everything under the sun :)

  7. Great choices! I like the stripe and jacket combination, and the draped detail of the coat.

I never switch things up for Winter. I still wear short sleeves, but great outerwear is a must!
