Ah, Spring! Although we've had quite a miserable start to the month, I cannot wait for the blue skies to appear, sunshine to start shining and beautiful blossom to bloom. As soon as a new season is upon us, I get a little spendy, but recently I've had good reason to as my guy and I will be re-locating to Nottingham in a few months. As we only moved from our home of Liverpool to Yorkshire two years ago, I'm not really looking forward to another big upheaval so soon, especially as we've really settled here. But, that's life! Every cloud has a silver lining and I see ours as a chance to upgrade lots of our home interior pieces. I was recently introduced to the uber-cool brand Esprit by a friend and, after having a browse of their homeware, I soon discovered they had a gorgeous selection of clothing, too. My online bag is currently brimming with goodies, so I thought I'd share my favourite pieces from the website with you.
I don't know about you, but when I'm wearing a matching set of underwear I feel so much more confident and sexy. It's like a secret, hidden weapon for looking better in any outfit, I think. I tend to treat myself to new lingerie twice a year, once for A/W and once for S/S, choosing colours and patterns that are season-appropriate. You know, just in case my clothes are somehow torn off in the middle of the street. Fashion, darling. As soon as I spotted the Melissa Padded Lace Bra With Mesh and knicker set, I fell in love. Not only is the pastel blue shade just gorgeous, but the mix of lace and mesh makes the set pretty, but with a grown-up twist.
When it comes to home interiors, Craig and I like to keep our big items of furniture, carpets and walls neutral, adding accents of bold colour with accessories and artwork. Our sofa is already littered with statement-print cushions, but I can't resist buying more. This Cushion Cover With High-Quality Digital Print will be perfect to display during the warmer months. The floral design is gorgeous and the colours are so fresh and vibrant.
I always feel the cold and so, as the British weather is never reliably hot even during summer, I like to have jumpers in my wardrobe all year round. I'll just reach for lighter options from April to August. Made from an airy, mesh material and having three-quarter sleeves, this Star Jumper will keep me warm on cooler days, without making me hot and sweaty after an hour or so. As the stars are only subtle, I won't feel like I've just raided my young cousin's wardrobe either, which I sometimes feel when wearing pieces that are covered in motifs.
See, I told you I had a major problem when it comes to biker jackets; I'm drawn to them like a moth to a flame. This High-Quality Suede Biker Jacket is nice and structured, making the fit very form-flattering. Mixing blue denim with tan suede is one of my favourite style combinations during S/S, so I can guarantee I'll get a lot of wear out of this beauty. Plus, it's not so expensive that I'll be stuck eating beans on toast for the rest of the year.
Who doesn't adore copper details when it comes to home decor? Our apartment already has flashes of gold and bronze everywhere, but I'm always eager to add more. I love the contrast of the white and copper on this Decorative Metal Bowl and I've already put together a mental image of all the trinkets I could fill it with.
The boho vibe is always huge come S/S, so this Firm Leather Shoulder Bag will be ideal. Big enough to carry all the essentials, but small enough that it won't get in the way when spending lots of time outdoors, it's a great size. Paired with a white tee, denim shorts and ankle boots, the woven, tasseled bag will add some much-needed detail to an otherwise plain outfit. If you like to frequent all the festivals, you'll be bang on trend with this little number, for sure.
It's only recently that I've started wearing trainers for anything other than working out. I know, I'm so behind everyone else. But, if I get my hands on these Trainers With Metallic Details, I think I'd wear them everyday! Not only do I love the dusky-pink shade, but the rose-gold accents just propel these sneakers up to must-have status, for me.
A-line, button-up skirts were all the rage last year, but I still love them. Whether worn with a casual t-shirt and Converse for a laid-back day look, or dressed up with some heels and a smart shirt, these skirts are so versatile and easy to wear. This Stretch Twill Skirt With Button Placket is so cute and the stretch material will make it a lot more comfortable and less restricting than stiff denim.
Another cushion that I just have to have, is the Woven Jacquard Pattern Cushion Cover. Leaf prints like this are so popular at the moment, but I love the alternative fuchsia/nude colour combination. Annoyingly, Esprit sell the cushion covers separately from the inner padding, but their designs are so lovely that I won't let that put me off making a purchase.
Have you shopped at Esprit before?

DeleteThe skirt is the one that caught my eyes! It's so darn pretty and my next favourite is the Star jumper, actually I think both skirt and jumper would pair up nicely.

Thanks so much :) x
DeleteThat jacket looks amazing, and it would pair really well with the metallic sneakers too! I love to wear sneakers with a twist (Converse with houndstooth pattern, Adidas with a snakeskin texture...).

I know - I wish I'd known about Esprit way before now, there's so much I love from them! x
DeleteI always thought Esprit was a bit old lady since it was taken out of my House of Fraser... clearly I was mistaken!!
ReplyDeleteMe too, hence why I hadn't really checked them out for years, until my friend mentioned how much she loved the brand! I think it's an unfair misconception now though, as they have such a cool, modern style :) x
DeleteThanks for taking the time to read this post and leave a comment! I try to reply to each and every one of them within 24 hours! x
